Meet Michelle

Hi. I'm Michelle. I spend my days solo parenting 4 wonderful children. I love making memories with my children, however due to the complex needs of my neurodiverse children, I am only able to work part time in my Teaching job. I love my job as an outdoor education specialist - it really is a delight. However, to earn more money would require more time out of the house - and that just isn't a possibility alongside my number 1 priority of supporting my children.

A few years ago I found myself saddened by the inability to be able to afford the ever inflating prices of travel (something my children and I enjoy doing) within the school holidays. That is when I discovered this little travel business.

For the past 3 years, I have utilised the booking platform and used it to be able to facilitate family trips. We have been on all inclusive holidays to Majorca, weekends away in the UK and we are looking forward to a little hop over to Paris later on in the year. I've even used the connections I have made through the business to make a booking for concert tickets for my teenage daughter. So I'm due to go and see an artist I've never even heard of in March (yes, I'm getting old). But I'll be happy enough, as I revel in a 'good deal'.

I am the kind of person who loves a saving or a deal. Often, when doing something "different" the kids will ask me "did you use your club card points for this?" ...Cheeky monkeys!! But they know, I love a bargain! And I will utilise every avenue to ensure I get the best deal. Whether it be the free coffee a week with some insurance or utilities, or a good £100 saving on 2 nights away for a weekend... I'm all over it! And they know it! After all, the more money in my pocket, the more adventures we can have.

With this in mind, this is why I have decided to grow my travel business. I can continue to shop for the best possible rates for myself, but also help other people to do the same.

It would be fair to say that I have had a few hurdles to overcome in my life. But I have done so with a smile. But these hurdles have served to remind me of the fragility of life. This has only supported me more in remaining in a mindset of growth and gratitude. I do not save any clothes "for best", I do not put off the adventures until another day. I live life to the full. I truly believe that if life gives you lemons, then make a chocolate cake and have everyone wondering 'how the buggery did she do that?' And always eat the cake. X
